How to set travel notifications

If you’re planning to use your Golden 1 debit or credit card while traveling out of town, let us know ahead of time. We can safeguard your account while you’re gone and help ensure your card is not used fraudulently – and alert you immediately if it is.

You can inform us of your travels in the following ways. Click to expand each section for detailed instructions.

Mobile Banking
  1. Log into the Mobile Banking.
  2. Tap I want to in the bottom menu bar, then tap Manage Cards. Scroll down and select Manage Travel Plans.
     
  3. Tap the + icon for Add Travel Plan.
  4. Select the method of authentication (email or text) and click Next. We’ll send you a one-time passcode. This can take up to 10 minutes.
  5. Enter the passcode and click Next.
  6. Complete the form.
  7. Tap Submit.
Online Banking
  1. Log into Online Banking.
  2. Click Self Service in the menu bar.


  3. Select My Cards. Here you can lock or unlock a card instantly, add a travel notification to keep the card active while you are away, and more.


  4. Click on the card you would like to set a travel notification for. If the card is not listed, click the + to add the card.
  5. Select the method of authentication (email or text) and click Next. We’ll send you a one-time passcode. This can take up to 10 minutes.
  6. Enter the passcode and click Next.
  7. Enter your travel plans, then click Submit.
