Do I have the option to make additional (nonscheduled) principal-only Golden 1 First Mortgage payments and what is the benefit?

Yes, you have the option to make principal-only payments.

Making principal-only payments may result in paying off the loan sooner and savings on interest. Your loan must be current with no fees outstanding before a principal-only payment will be applied.

To make a payment online:

1. Log into www.golden1.com. 

2. Click on Mortgage.

3. Click on Online Payment and select Make a Payment.

Alternatively, you can mail the check to the address below. Please note on the check that the funds are for principal-only payment.
