- Endorse the check: Sign the back of the check as you would for an in-person deposit.
- Open the app and select "Deposit Check": Log in to the app and locate the "Deposit Check" option in the app bar.
- Enter the check amount and select the account: Input the check amount and choose the account for the deposit. Ensure the entered amount matches the amount on the check.
- Take photos of the check: The app will guide you to photograph the front and back of the endorsed check.
Tips for good photos:- Place the check on a flat, dark, non-reflective surface with good lighting and no shadows or glare.
- Hold your camera directly above the check, keeping it steady, and ensure all corners are within the app's frame.
- Review and submit: Review the deposit details and submit if accurate.
- Hold onto the check: Keep the physical check safe until the deposit is processed and funds are available. Banks may recommend holding it for a certain period.
- Destroy the check: Once the deposit is confirmed and funds are available, securely destroy the physical check to prevent fraud.
- Mobile deposit limits: There is a daily $25,000 limit and monthly $50,000 limit on mobile deposits.
- Processing timeframes: While the app may provide immediate confirmation that your deposit is processing, the funds may not be available immediately. Processing times typically range from one to two business days.
