How do I know how long my checks are held?

Golden 1's general policy is to make most check funds available on the same day we receive your deposit. However, holds of two to nine days may be placed on checks in certain cases, such as large deposits, new accounts, for checks that were previously returned unpaid are redeposited, or when an account has been repeatedly overdrawn within a six-month period. If a hold is placed on deposits made via Mobile Deposit or at an ATM, an extended hold notice will be sent via mail or email. If a hold is placed on deposits made in person inside a branch, the teller will provide the hold notice at the time of deposit. Please read the "Funds Availability" section of your Disclosure of Account Information.
