How do two-way fraud alerts work?

Golden 1 Credit Union Debit and credit cardholders with a valid cell phone number on file have the convenience of receiving and responding to fraud alerts electronically in the form of an SMS/text.

Card alerts will come from the phone number/short code 372-68 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. in the cardholder's time zone. Authentic Golden 1 two-way fraud alerts will never contain links or a warning that the card status is frozen or blocked.
