What happens when my certificate matures?

»

Your certificate will automatically renew at maturity, but if you would like to make a change, you’ll have a 14 calendar-day grace period after the maturity date to do so, penalty free. You can initiate updates through the self-service portal in Online Banking, and we’ll send you a confirmation email once it’s complete.

Here's How:

  1. Log into Online Banking.
  2. Access Certificate Management: Once logged in, click the certificate in the Account Overview section, then click the Certificate Management link.
  3. Select the Certificate: Term Savings Certificates eligible for action within the 14 calendar-day grace period will be highlighted at the top of the page with a bold border for easy identification. Simply click to complete your request.

If you do not want to renew your certificate, you’ll submit a request to transfer the funds to a savings account, another certificate, or close your account. You can submit the request through Secure Message in Online Banking, or you can visit a branch, or call our Member Service Contact Center at 1-877-GOLDEN 1 (1-877-465-3361). We're also happy to review other account options that may better fit your needs.

Please visit our IRA Service Center to service an existing IRA or open a new IRA.
