Adding a New Accountholder

To add a joint owner to an account, you can complete the Membership Application and return it by mail or in person to any Golden 1 branch. All persons intended to be on the account must sign the Membership Application. In addition, a copy of the identification of all account owners must be included with the application.

Accountholder Removal

To request an accountholder removal please visit a Golden 1 branch or contact us at 1-877-GOLDEN 1 (1-877-465-3361).

• A Primary Accountholder cannot be removed from an account. The account must be closed and a new account established in the desired ownership structure.
• A Joint Accountholder can be removed from an account after completion of the Joint Accountholder Removal Form that is signed by all accountholders, including the person being removed. 
• A Parent on a Former Minor Account may be removed once the child turns 18 or older.

To establish a new individual account, or an account with different owners, click on the Membership link from golden1.com, and then click Join Us. You’ll be able to apply for a new savings and checking account.

Any signer on the account may request to close the account at any Golden 1 branch or by phone at 1-877-GOLDEN 1 (1-877-465-3361).
