How do I set up or cancel a recurring or scheduled payment in Zelle?

When you send money with Zelle®, the default setting is Send Today (one time). Click to expand each section for detailed instructions on setting up or cancelling a scheduled payment or recurring series of payments.

Set Up A Recurring Payment in Zelle

You can set up a scheduled payment or a recurring series of payments by clicking “Change” and selecting the date(s) and frequency of the payment.

  1. After logging into Online Banking, select Send Money with Zelle from the top toolbar.
  2. Zelle will default to the Send tab.
  3. Select a trusted recipient using one of the following methods:
    1. Use the Search box to locate the recipient by name, email, or phone number.
    2. Select New contact.
      Note: See the Adding, Removing, and Editing a Contact in Zelle article for information on adding a new contact.
    3. Select from Recent Recipients.
  4. Enter the amount you'd like to send.
  5. Click Change next to Send Today (one time).
  6. In the Frequency drop-down list, select the frequency that you would like to send your recurring payments.
  7. Select the Duration that this recurring transaction should occur.
    Note: If Set amount of payments or Set number of payments is selected, enter the dollar amount or the number of payments to make.
  8. Choose the payment date on the calendar.
  9. Click Review and enter an optional Reason.
  10. Click Send.
Cancel a Recurring Zelle Payment

You can cancel a scheduled payment or a recurring series of payments by accessing the scheduled payment in the Activity tab of Zelle.

  1. After logging into Online Banking, select Send Money with Zelle from the top toolbar.
  2. Select the Activity tab.
  3. Scroll down to locate your recurring payments. This will be denoted with a Payment Scheduled description at the top. Click Cancel.
  4. Select whether you want to cancel all payments in this plan or only the next payment scheduled, then click Cancel Payment(s).
  5. Your payment plan will display that it has been canceled.
